Terms of Service
1. Acceptance and service description
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the Listalla.com service ("Listalla"). The User accepts the Terms when creating an account, and each booking confirms that the Terms then in force apply to the booking. If you do not accept the Terms, do not create an account or make a booking.
Listalla is a venue-rental marketplace through which users find and book venues from registered venue providers ("Venue Provider"). Listalla is an intermediary platform; it does not itself rent out or supply the venues listed.
Listalla is operated by Bittilafka Oy (business ID 3217396-9, Pitkämäentie 35 A, Helsinki, Finland). Up-to-date information about Listalla's operator is available on the contact page of the service.
2. Parties and Listalla's role
A booking creates a contractual relationship between the User and the Venue Provider whose venue is booked. Listalla is not a party to that booking relationship, not the supplier of the venue, and not the seller of the booked service.
Listalla provides the booking platform and, where the Venue Provider uses Listalla's payment service, technically facilitates payment through the payment service provider Stripe. Listalla does not at any point hold User payments in its own bank accounts.
3. User account
Use of the service requires a user account. Accounts are created with an email address; a one-time login code is sent to that address.
The User is responsible for keeping their email under their own exclusive control. The User is responsible for actions taken from their account, except where misuse has been promptly notified to Listalla.
User accounts are for individual adults. A person under 18 may use Listalla only in connection with a booking made on their behalf by their guardian; in such cases the guardian is the contracting party toward the Venue Provider and toward Listalla, not the minor.
The User may close their account at any time. Listalla may suspend or delete an account in case of breach of these Terms or where the service is used for unlawful purposes.
4. Making a booking
A booking is created when the User submits their selection (venue, date, and any add-ons) and receives a booking confirmation from Listalla. The confirmation defines the content of the booking: the total price including VAT, payment terms, cancellation policy, and the Venue Provider's name and contact details. Any house or use rules the Venue Provider presents as part of the confirmation also form part of the booking terms.
Venue descriptions, pricing, availability, and booking terms are supplied by each Venue Provider. Listalla does not warrant the accuracy of descriptions and is not responsible for whether a venue meets the User's needs. The User is responsible for reviewing their booking details before confirming.
5. Payment
Payment is handled in one of two ways, shown to the User at the point of booking:
(a) Listalla-facilitated payment: payment is routed to the Venue Provider through Stripe Connect. Stripe processes card payments and settles funds to the Venue Provider. Listalla never holds funds in its own accounts.
(b) Direct payment: the User pays the Venue Provider directly, by a method the Venue Provider specifies, outside Listalla. Listalla has no role in the payment.
Payment is taken in advance unless the specific booking states otherwise (e.g. deposit or instalment plan).
The Venue Provider is the seller of the booking, the issuer of the invoice, and the party responsible for VAT and the accuracy of the invoice. Listalla does not sell venue rentals, does not issue invoices for bookings, and is not responsible for the Venue Provider's tax status. Invoice-correction requests go directly to the Venue Provider.
Prices are shown in Listalla to consumer Users as final prices including VAT, unless otherwise specifically indicated.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Each Venue Provider's cancellation and refund terms are shown to the User before the booking is confirmed and form part of the booking.
For Listalla-facilitated payments, Listalla initiates the refund on the Venue Provider's instruction and in accordance with the Venue Provider's cancellation policy. Settlement timing depends on Stripe and the consumer's bank; Listalla cannot guarantee a specific duration.
If the Venue Provider does not respond to a User's refund request within a reasonable time, or fails to honour their own cancellation policy, Listalla may, for Listalla-facilitated payments, initiate the refund on its own initiative in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy and offset the amount against the Venue Provider's payouts. This does not affect the liability relationship between the Venue Provider and the User.
For direct payments, the consumer contacts the Venue Provider directly in refund matters.
Disputes concerning defective performance of the booking are resolved between the consumer and the Venue Provider in accordance with the booking terms and the Consumer Protection Act.
7. Consumer rights
A natural person who makes a booking outside the scope of their trade or profession is a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act (38/1978). Mandatory consumer protections cannot be weakened by contract.
Under chapter 6, section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to bookings of accommodation, restaurant services, or leisure-related services performed on a specified date or within a specified period. A substantial share of bookings made through Listalla fall under this exemption. The booking page and booking confirmation indicate, for each individual booking, whether the 14-day right of withdrawal applies. Where the exemption applies, it does not affect other statutory consumer rights, including the right to remedy under the booking for defective performance.
In disputes, the consumer may:
- contact Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi),
- bring the matter before the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
8. Acceptable use
The User undertakes not to use Listalla for purposes contrary to law or these Terms. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- using another person's or Venue Provider's credentials without permission,
- providing fraudulent or misleading information,
- automated or systematic collection, scraping, or extraction of content from Listalla without separate agreement,
- compromising the operation or security of Listalla, including attacks against it,
- harassing other Users or Venue Providers.
Listalla may suspend or terminate any account reasonably found to be in breach of these acceptable-use rules.
9. User-submitted content
Listalla stores and displays content the User submits to the service (including reviews, messages, and profile information) to the extent necessary for operating the service. The User retains any copyright they may hold in their content.
The User warrants that they have the right to submit the content they provide. Listalla may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
Listalla strives to maintain the service with reasonable care but does not warrant uninterrupted availability or freedom from defects.
Listalla is not liable for the Venue Provider's performance of the booked service, the accuracy of information supplied by the Venue Provider, the condition of the venue, the Venue Provider's invoicing, or the content of the Venue Provider's cancellation policy.
Toward consumers, Listalla's liability is governed by the Consumer Protection Act and other mandatory consumer protection law; nothing in this section applies in a way that would limit mandatory consumer rights.
For Users other than consumers, Listalla's liability for its own operation is limited to direct damage caused by Listalla's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Personal data
Personal data processing is described in Listalla's Privacy Policy, available on the privacy page of the service.
Bittilafka Oy is the controller for Listalla-level personal data (user accounts, authentication, operation of Listalla). The booked Venue Provider is an independent controller for personal data relating to its own customer relationship, received as part of the booking. The division of roles is detailed in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and assignment
Listalla may amend these Terms. Material changes are notified to the User by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. By continuing to use Listalla after the effective date, the User accepts the changes; the User may also close their account if they do not accept the changes.
Listalla may assign this agreement to a company within the same group or controlled by the same owners as part of a corporate restructuring continuing the Listalla business; such an assignment is notified to the User for information.
Listalla may also assign this agreement to a company outside the group that continues the Listalla business. Such an assignment is notified to the User by email at least 30 days in advance, and the User may close their account in connection with the assignment.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and use of Listalla are governed by Finnish law.
A consumer User has the right to bring a dispute either before the court of their place of residence or before Helsinki District Court. The consumer may also seek a decision from the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
Mandatory consumer protection rights remain in force regardless of anything in these Terms.
14. Contact and operator
The official identification details and up-to-date contact information of Listalla's operator are available on Listalla's contact page. Customer support: support@listalla.com.
15. Effective date and languages
These Terms enter into force on 11 May 2026. The Terms are available in Finnish and English. In case of conflict, the Finnish version prevails.
